This Privacy Policy describes how pattyloof.com (the “Site” or “we”) collects, uses, and discloses your Personal Information when you visit or make a purchase from the Site.

Collecting Personal Information
This site is hosted on Shopify. When you visit the Site, Shopify collects certain information about your device and your interaction with the Site. If you make a purchase, Shopify collects the information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact Shopify (or myself directly) for customer support.
My newsletter is hosted on Shopify. When you make actions through Shopify such as sign up to my newsletter, your name, email address, IP address, and your actions on Shopify are shared with Shopify so I can send helpful and informative emails to you (for example, cart reminders, sales, my newsletter, or new releases).
In this Privacy Policy, we refer to any information about an identifiable individual (including the information below) as “Personal Information”. See the list below for more information about what Personal Information we collect and why.
- Device information
- Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you, and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimize our Site.
- Source of collection: Collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels.
- Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with my processor Shopify, my newsletter Shopify. If you come to this site via a Facebook ad, this information is also shared with Facebook.

Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, cookie information, what sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
- Order information
- Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you to fulfill our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
- Source of collection: collected from you.
- Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with my billing processor Shopify. If you choose a print-on-demand item printed by Printful, your address and other details, such as phone number or size may be shared with Printful in order to fulfill your order. Your shipping address will be shared with the shipping company you select in order to deliver your physical products.
- Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number.

Minors
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not intentionally collect Personal Information from children in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact me at the address above to request its deletion.
Sharing Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:
- I use Shopify to power my online store. You can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
- When you order an ebook or other digital item (such as an audiobook), your name and email address is sent to BookFunnel so they may send your item.
- When you order a print book or other physical item, your name and mailing address are given to the shipping company you select (for example, the United States Postal Service) so I can send you the item.
- When you order a print on demand item printed by Printful, your name and mailing address, as well as other information necessary to fulfill your order (such as size) are shared with Printful so they can send your order.
Release of Information
If pattyloof.com is sold, or in the event of my demise, the information I obtained from you through your voluntary participation in our site may transfer to the new owner as a part of the sale (or my executor in the event of my demise) in order that the service being provided to you may continue. In that event, you will receive notice through our website of that change in control and practices, and we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the purchaser honors any opt-out requests you might make of us.
Behavioral Advertising
As described above, I may use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications I believe may be of interest to you. For example:

- We share information about your use of the Site, your purchases, and your interaction with our ads on other websites with our advertising partners (for example, Facebook, if you used Facebook to find my site). - At present, we do not use third-party advertising companies (for example, Google AdSense) to serve ads on our website. However, we may choose to do so at a later date. These companies use cookies and web beacons in their ads to ascertain how many times you've seen an advertisement. No personally identifiable information you give us is provided to them for cookie or web beacon use, so they cannot personally identify you with that information from our website.

Using Personal Information
We use your personal Information to provide our services to you, which includes: offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfillment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.
Lawful basis
Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), if you are a resident of the European Economic Area (“EEA”), we process your personal information under the following lawful bases:
- Your consent;
- The performance of the contract between you and the Site;
- Compliance with our legal obligations;
- To protect your vital interests;
- To perform a task carried out in the public interest;
- For our legitimate interests, which do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Retention
When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase this information. For more information on your right of erasure, please see the ‘Your rights’ section below.
Automatic decision-making
If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to object to processing based solely on automated decision-making (which includes profiling), when that decision-making has a legal effect on you or otherwise significantly affects you.
We DO NOT engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.
Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.
Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:
- Temporary blacklist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This blacklist persists for a small number of hours.
- Temporary blacklist of credit cards associated with blacklisted IP addresses. This blacklist persists for a small number of days.
Selling Personal Information
This Site does not sell Personal Information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”).
Your rights
GDPR
If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact me (in my function in this case as your Data Protection Officer) through the contact information above.
Your Personal Information will be initially processed in Ireland and then will be transferred outside of Europe for storage and further processing, including to Canada and the United States. CCPA
